I noticed the trend when browsing shops online. At first I ignored it but when they started showing up in more places I knew that it was here to stay for a while….perhaps even a long while.
My question would be when it comes to those bags is: what in the world can you put in there? A lipstick and a key perhaps…? I don’t even find them cute instead they actually look ridiculous.
It is perhaps the style of the new generation. If the size was not in itself a problem (which it is), there is still the fact that such a trend could never be elegant not matter with what or how one style it.
Can you imagine walking into a four or five star restaurant carrying such a purse? I can’t and anyone with some fashion sense won’t either.
This style, in my opinion, was someone who wanted to invent the next clutch bag but failed terribly. A clutch bag is elegant and sophisticated, and it has it’s purpose: it can fit all the essential that a woman needs with her – nothing more, nothing less. The mini bag fails on all these accounts.
